“Best Emergent Technology Paper” award from IADIS E-Learning 2010 :)

The conference in Freiburg is now officially considered one of the most memorable experience for me. While I attended many sessions of both E-learning and IHCI conferences, where papers with great scientific research quality were presented, I also  met great people, coming from all around the world.

I got back home with great memories and here is why

1) My paper, entitled “TrAVis to enhance online tutoring and learning activities: real time visualization of students’ tracking data” was selected for the “Best Emergent Technology Paper” at the IADIS International Conference on E-Learning 2010, and

2) I met great people, especially Claus from Germany and Vicki from the UK, with whom I had a lot of fun hanging out.

For your information, here is the acceptance rate of IADIS Elearning 2010.

  • Submission: 225 papers from 39 countries
  • Accepted papers: 50 full papers and a few short papers
  • Acceptance rate ~ 22%

I am looking forward to the next IADIS conferences.

28-30 of July in Freiburg, Germany? [update]

Update : 25 mai 2010.
Alright, just got another email from IADIS, my first paper on TrAVis has been accepted. Two papers to be presented respectively for (i) Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction and (ii) E-learning 2010.

What could have been a better news to start your day with than having your paper accepted for a conference that you are willing to attend? Pheeww… Finally got something new to post under my publications page :D

A big thank to Sébastien George for his contribution to this paper.

Update: Research page is up!

Finally, I got it live, my research activities page. Please do me a favor, give it a look here.

Have a great easter break (for those who have just started ^^)

PhD students and their advisors are not regular people

Well at  least from this PhD Comics point of view :)

Have a great weekend!
