Summerschool in Grenoble ended with big smile
Last week my advisor and I drove from Lyon to Grenoble just to participate in CNRS annual event, called summer school on “Personnalisation des EIAH”, something like “Personalization of Computer-Based Environments for Human Learning” in English.
Yet it was another great experience (it has reminded me ’bout my really first international conference ever in Chamonix last winter).
The bad thing is that I did not really enjoy staying there even the ambiance was great and the place was just simply awesome, you know the hotel is surrounded by a huge golf park, swimming pool, etc. Well, the reason is that I had to work a lot and got myself ready for a workshop
The fourth day of the summer school, my advisor, Sebastien and I, we hosted a workshop, which mainly focused on “tracking computer mediated communication activities in Web-based learning environments” and “automatic analysis of human computer interactions on discussion forum”. More details will be posted in another thread, stay tuned
The workshop ended with good appreciations of the participants and I did feel that they really like the prototype that I presented during the workshop. TrAVis, “Tracking Data Analysis and Visualization tools”, that is the name of the framework that I developed and presented during the workshop. I have spent hours and hours, sticking in front of my PC, coding every single line of PHP, JavaScript, AJAX and HTML
Anyway, summer school in Grenoble ended with big smile. Looking forward to participating in other summer schools next year.
